Vivo T5 5G Launched with Dimensity 7500 Turbo and 7,050 mAh Battery

Vivo officially unveiled its latest smartphone, the Vivo T5 5G, on September 26, 2024, targeting the mid-range market with a focus on performance and battery life. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo System-on-Chip (SoC), a processor designed to offer a balance of high performance and power efficiency for demanding mobile tasks and gaming. This chipset is built on a 4nm manufacturing process and features an octa-core CPU configuration, including high-performance cores, which contributes to the device's responsiveness and ability to handle multitasking and graphically intensive applications.

The display of the Vivo T5 5G is a key highlight, featuring a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels. This screen boasts a dynamic refresh rate of up to 144Hz, providing exceptionally smooth scrolling and fluid animations, which is particularly beneficial for mobile gaming and media consumption. The display also incorporates a curved design, a feature often found in higher-end devices, contributing to an immersive viewing experience and a premium aesthetic. Additionally, the screen supports 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, a technology aimed at reducing eye strain by minimizing flicker at low brightness levels.

One of the most significant specifications of the Vivo T5 5G is its substantial battery capacity. The device is equipped with a 7,050 mAh battery, which is considerably larger than the typical smartphone battery capacity. This large battery is expected to provide extended usage times, potentially lasting two days or more for moderate users, and significantly reducing the frequency of charging. Complementing the large battery is support for 80W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly replenish the battery when needed. Vivo claims that the 80W charging can charge the device from 1% to 50% in just 15 minutes, and to 100% in 45 minutes, although this may vary based on usage and ambient conditions.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Vivo T5 5G features a triple rear camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50MP unit, likely designed to capture detailed images in various lighting conditions. This is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens for capturing wider scenes and a 2MP macro lens for close-up photography. For selfies and video calls, the front of the device houses a 16MP camera. The smartphone also includes other features such as stereo speakers for an enhanced audio experience, an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking, and runs on Vivo's OriginOS 4 based on Android 14. The device is available in two storage configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB internal storage, offering ample space for applications, media, and files.
