Three Britons reach Wimbledon through qualifying

Ollie Tarvet, Billy Harris, and Max Basing secured their places in the Wimbledon main draw through qualifying matches this week. Tarvet, ranked 307th in the world, defeated world number 183, Gijs Brouwer, in straight sets to advance. Harris, ranked 223rd, overcame his opponent in a hard-fought three-set match. Basing, the lowest-ranked of the three Britons at 431, also navigated the challenging qualifying rounds to earn his spot. Their successful qualification marks a significant achievement, granting them entry into one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments globally. The trio will now compete against a field of established professional players in the main competition.
