This new tool might just solve the restaurant reservation chaos

SevenRooms launched Channel Connect on June 16, a free tool designed to synchronize reservation data from multiple sources into a single, preferred platform for restaurants. This addresses the challenge of managing disparate reservation systems, which often require restaurant staff to juggle multiple applications or devices. Joel Montaniel, cofounder and CEO of SevenRooms, highlighted that some restaurants use two or three iPads at the host stand to manage different reservation platforms. Channel Connect aims to simplify this by automatically syncing data, allowing restaurants to view and manage all their reservations in one place. Montaniel emphasized that the tool is available to all restaurateurs, regardless of whether they use SevenRooms' paid services, and that restaurants control which data is transferred. The company stated that Channel Connect is not primarily intended to drive new paid business, but rather to improve operational efficiency for restaurants by allowing them to choose and control their reservation management systems. SevenRooms was acquired by DoorDash last year.
