The author's journey to the resort began with a private flight experience on JSX, a public-charter jet service, departing from Santa Monica Airport. Boarding the 10-row aircraft involved walking directly onto the runway, and the author was assigned a private single seat with a plush leather interior and a side cocktail table. The hour-long flight concluded with a smooth touchdown, leaving the author feeling pampered, akin to a billionaire, a sentiment that continued upon arrival at the Alila Napa Valley.
