Alila Napa Valley, a Category 8 property located in California's wine country, is celebrating its fifth anniversary by waiving resort fees for a year. However, it has also removed suite upgrade certificates from its accepted rewards. For context, a standard room at this hotel can cost approximately $917 during the summer, while a suite can reach around $2,738.

The second property to implement this change is the Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman, also a Category 8 hotel. This new property is currently accepting reservations for dates from October 31, 2026, onwards. At this location, standard rooms are priced starting at $676, with suites available for $2,942. The exclusion of suite upgrade awards at these high-value properties underscores the significant benefit these certificates represent for travelers seeking premium accommodations at a reduced cost.
