Royal Caribbean Enhances Crown & Anchor Loyalty Program

Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor Society, its frequent cruiser program, provides members with a range of rewards designed to incentivize repeat voyages. Even after a single sailing, members can begin to receive perks such as discounts at onboard venues, including the spa. As members accumulate more sailings, the benefits escalate to include discounts on balcony and suite bookings, among other valuable incentives. The program features six distinct tiers: Gold (3-29 points), Platinum (30-54 points), Emerald (55-79 points), Diamond (80-174 points), Diamond Plus (175-699 points), and the highest tier, Pinnacle Club (700 or more points).

At higher tiers, members can experience enhanced benefits, such as up to six complimentary drinks each night of their cruise, access to exclusive onboard lounges, and a complimentary cruise upon reaching the Pinnacle Club tier. Royal Caribbean has recently implemented two significant enhancements to the Crown & Anchor program, increasing the value of earned points. Firstly, the program now facilitates status matching between Royal Caribbean and its sister cruise lines, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises. This allows members to have their loyalty status recognized across all three brands.

Secondly, a new "Points Choice" feature has been introduced across all three brands. This feature empowers passengers sailing on any of the Royal Caribbean Group's brands to apply the points they earn to any of their loyalty programs. This cross-brand point applicability offers greater flexibility and potential value for loyal cruisers. These recent improvements contributed to TPG awarding Royal Caribbean the "TPG Award for Best Cruise Line Loyalty Program" this year, highlighting the program's enhanced appeal and benefits.

Earning points within the Crown & Anchor Society is structured to reward time spent on board. Members accrue one point for every night spent on a Royal Caribbean ship. An additional point is awarded for every night spent in a suite, though this bonus applies only to suites booked at the initial reservation and not to upgraded suites. This straightforward point-earning system, combined with the tiered benefits and recent program enhancements, aims to foster strong loyalty among Royal Caribbean's customer base, offering tangible rewards for continued patronage across its fleet and affiliated brands.
