Nike announced the official release date for its Mind 002 "Pink Smoke" women's pregame shoe as July 23, 2024. This new footwear is priced at $145 USD and is designed to sharpen focus through tactile stimulation rather than solely relying on cushioning. Developed within Nike's Mind Science Department, the shoe incorporates 22 individually articulated foam nodes embedded in the outsole. These nodes are engineered to press against the foot, stimulating sensory areas of the brain associated with grounding and body awareness.

The design aims to translate the sensation of the ground beneath the wearer's feet into a mindfulness cue. Nike states that as the nodes move, the wearer's attention follows, redirecting focus away from pre-game nerves and towards the immediate physical sensation.
