Kiko Kostadinov Curates ASICS US8-S GEL-SJ33 in Two Coffee Colorways

Kiko Kostadinov, in collaboration with ASICS, has unveiled the US8-S GEL-SJ33 sneaker, set to release on July 31. This new model merges the running heritage of the 2010s with contemporary streetwear design, drawing inspiration from the archival GEL-SUPER J33. The sneaker features a complex, seamless upper designed to resemble natural biological membranes, offering a lightweight, flexible, and supportive fit that promotes natural movement. This technical construction is complemented by a strong heel counter and a functional medial strap for enhanced stability.

The US8-S GEL-SJ33 will be available in two distinct colorways: "Black Coffee/Orange Lily," which combines dark, earthy tones with bright orange accents, and "Roasted Coffee/Bluebell," featuring a rich brown base with vivid blue highlights. These dynamic color schemes are enhanced by striped graphic patterns that contribute to the shoe's sense of motion and depth. The design aims to bridge avant-garde aesthetics with functional performance.

Beneath its intricate upper, the US8-S GEL-SJ33 incorporates advanced performance features borrowed from the ASICS GEL-CUMULUS 16. The sole unit is engineered with FLUIDRIDE and FLYTEFOAM cushioning technologies to ensure smooth transitions and a comfortable experience. Visible GEL inserts in the heel and forefoot provide shock absorption and add a distinct visual element to the shoe's architecture. The sneaker is priced at ¥24,200 JPY, approximately $149 USD, and will be available through ASICS.
