Mubi Partners Madman for Theatrical Releases in ANZ

Mubi has expanded its theatrical distribution collaboration with Madman Entertainment, appointing the Australian and New Zealand distributor to sub-release five films theatrically across the region. This partnership includes several films that have received accolades at the Cannes and Berlinale film festivals.
Madman Entertainment is scheduled to premiere Jane Schoenbrun’s film, “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma,” on August 6 in Australia and August 20 in New Zealand. This title is among the five films slated for theatrical exhibition under the new agreement.
Further titles in the slate include the Berlinale Panorama Audience Award winner “Fatherland,” directed by Robert Schwentke, and the Cannes Un Certain Regard Grand Prix winner “The Story of My Wife,” directed by Ildikó Enyedi. The slate also features the Berlinale Encounters winner “The Last Ride Together” and the Cannes Critics’ Week winner “The Deep House.”
This expansion signifies Mubi’s commitment to increasing its theatrical footprint in key international markets. Madman Entertainment, known for its distribution of independent and arthouse cinema, is well-positioned to manage these releases across Australia and New Zealand, aiming to bring critically acclaimed international films to a wider audience in cinemas.
