Tecno Camon 50 Ultra India Launch Set for July 24

Tecno announced the India launch date for its Camon 50 Ultra smartphone, with the device set to be unveiled on July 24. This upcoming smartphone is expected to feature a significant camera upgrade, highlighted by a 200-megapixel primary sensor. The device will also sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.

Further specifications revealed by Tecno indicate the Camon 50 Ultra will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone will run on Android 14 with Tecno's HiOS 14 interface out of the box. For photography, in addition to the 200MP main camera, it is anticipated to include a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro sensor.

The front-facing camera is expected to be a 32MP unit, likely housed within a punch-hole cutout. Battery capacity is reported to be 5,000 mAh, supporting 70W wired charging. The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra will also include an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. The company has not yet disclosed pricing details for the Indian market, but the device is positioned as a premium offering within the Camon series.
