Taylor Frankie Paul Addresses MomTok Fallout Ahead of Show Return

Taylor Frankie Paul, 32, has publicly addressed her involvement in the ongoing "MomTok" fallout and acknowledged making mistakes ahead of the new season of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives." In an Instagram post, Paul stated she is stepping away from responding to the disputes, admitting her ego and defensive reactions contributed to the situation. She expressed that she has been experiencing significant personal pain due to multiple simultaneous trials, including legal disputes with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, 33, with whom she shares 2-year-old son Ever, and her ex-husband Tate Paul, 34, father to her older children Indy, 8, and Ocean, 6.

Paul described a turning point where she realized the need to relinquish control to ego, anger, and fear, stating, "It's time to stop letting ego, anger, and fear run the show." She admitted to being in a lot of pain and acting defensively due to the volume of ongoing trials. The reality star emphasized her recognition of her own wrongdoings in the "MomTok mess," asserting that while she has always supported her co-stars, her responses became defensive when she heard certain information. She also noted feeling betrayed by others who escalated the situation.

Despite acknowledging the actions of others and their right to set boundaries, Paul took full responsibility for her own reactions. She stated, "None of us deserve that. No matter what happened it doesn’t justify MY responses to all of it. Thats on me. I can only control me." Paul recognized that she has not been herself, which she finds painful to admit, and indicated that damage to her brain requires her to retrain and rewire her responses. The upcoming season of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" is expected to explore these personal and public challenges.
