Rudy Guénaire Designs Timeless Apartment Overlooking Paris' Panthéon

Rudy Guénaire has unveiled a newly designed apartment located on the top floor of a 1920s Parisian building, offering views of the Panthéon. The design concept focuses on creating a timeless environment by blending historical influences with contemporary materials. The apartment features six-meter-long German oak floorboards, chosen for their acoustic properties and aesthetic appeal, which complement the geometric stainless-steel entrance inspired by Gae Aulenti's work at Palazzo Pucci.

A significant portion of the apartment's furnishings were custom-designed by Guénaire, drawing inspiration from Brazilian modernism. In the living room, a custom coffee table made of marble and smoked pearwood echoes Elsa Peretti's Bean form, while cast acrylic light fixtures within stainless steel frames reference 1920s lighting integration. The space is further enhanced by a curated selection of art and design pieces, including an Esther armchair, Peter Marcasiano paintings from DS Galerie, and a Solomon Islands pendant from Galerie Lucas Ratton.

The craftsmanship extends to the monumental doors of the primary bedroom. These doors feature intricate stainless-steel marquetry. One side displays handmade glass panels by Raphael Barrois, while the reverse side incorporates amboyna burl with brushed stainless-steel inlays. The bathroom finishes utilize vibrant Iranian onyx, adding another layer of material richness to the design.
