In an August 2025 interview with Veranda magazine, both Stallone and Flavin described their search for a home, noting that upon finding their current residence, they both felt a sense of arrival, thinking, "Finally." Stallone contrasted their chosen home with newer constructions, telling Veranda that houses built after COVID-19 were "monstrosities" and "monumental structures" that lacked warmth and felt like hotel lobbies. Their current estate, built in 2014, immediately resonated with them. Jennifer Flavin emphasized her role in making their houses feel like homes, stating in the Veranda interview, "I’ve always made every house we’ve ever had a home." She articulated a philosophy of prioritizing family over material possessions, saying, "Our family is precious, but the material things are not precious." This approach extends to their pets and children, with Flavin noting, "We have three dogs and a cat and lots of children—nothing we own is precious."
