SUBU Adds "Lavender" and "Matcha" to F-LINE Sandal

SUBU has launched two new colorways, "Lavender" and "Matcha," for its ORIGINALS F-LINE sandal, designed for the fall and winter 2026 season. Unlike typical warm-weather slides, the F-LINE is engineered as a cold-season sandal intended for wear with bare feet. Its layered construction is specifically developed to trap heat, providing insulation where conventional open footwear would leave feet exposed to the cold. The core of the sandal's design is a four-layer insole, which is responsible for delivering both cushioning and thermal benefits. This stacked insole is tuned to provide a plush and stable feel underfoot, positioning the sandal as more comfortable than standard house footwear. Furthermore, the structure is designed to hug the entire foot, ensuring a secure fit rather than a simple slip-on experience. This internal structure plays a crucial role in transforming the slip-on silhouette into footwear that actively holds the foot. The warmth is generated by the materials used in the sandal's lining. The interior features a brushed, napped fabric that surrounds bare skin with a softness comparable to down insulation, similar to the materials found in winter jackets. This specific lining makes barefoot use viable even in low temperatures, allowing wearers to step outside for quick errands without socks while avoiding the discomfort typically associated with normal sandals. The outer shell and sole complete the functional aspects of the sandal. The upper is constructed from nylon, which offers a slight sheen and is designed to withstand various elements. The insole itself is made from brushed polyester, and the outsole is crafted from synthetic rubber to ensure grip and durability. This creates a self-contained thermal system where each component, from the upper to the footbed and outsole, contributes to keeping the foot warm, cushioned, and stable.
