Subaru announces 2027 Solterra EV prices remain under $40,000 after a major upgrade

Subaru announced the pricing for the 2027 Solterra electric vehicle on April 16, 2024, confirming that the base model will start at under $40,000. This pricing remains consistent with the previous model year, despite significant upgrades introduced for the 2026 model year. The 2027 Solterra will feature a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 13-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a panoramic glass roof as standard equipment across all trims. Subaru has also enhanced the Solterra's charging capabilities, with DC fast charging now capable of reaching 80% charge in approximately 35 minutes. The vehicle's range has been improved to an estimated 295 miles for the Premium and Limited trims, and 270 miles for the Touring trim, thanks to a more efficient powertrain and improved aerodynamics. Subaru has also expanded its EyeSight driver assist technology suite, adding features like Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with lane centering and a new parking support brake. The 2027 Solterra will be available in three trim levels: Premium, Limited, and Touring, with deliveries expected to begin in the fall of 2024. Subaru aims to maintain the Solterra's appeal in the competitive EV market by offering a compelling package of technology, range, and safety features at an accessible price point.
