Shohei Ohtani's Game-Used New Balance Sneakers Auctioned

The Realest launched a live auction this week for Shohei Ohtani's game-used New Balance Ohtani 1 sneakers. These one-of-a-kind, player-exclusive shoes were worn by the four-time MVP during the opening game of the 2025 MLB Tokyo Series, marking a significant moment in baseball history and sneaker culture. The sneakers feature custom graphics of Ohtani's dog, Deko-pin, on the upper and still contain authentic infield dirt from the Tokyo Dome.

Further enhancing their rarity, the shoes include a personal Japanese Kanji signature from Ohtani and a "GU" (game-used) inscription. This level of personalization, combined with The Realest's authentication process, aims to provide collectors with direct provenance. This auction also marks the debut of The Realest's new "Certified" pilot program for high-end memorabilia.
