Shaboozey Launches Debut Comic Series at Comic-Con

Grammy-nominated musician Shaboozey is set to make his San Diego Comic-Con debut in summer 2026 to launch his first-ever comic book series, "The Outlaw Cherie Lee." This project, a collaboration with Range Comics, aims to expand the narrative universe of his upcoming music project. Attendees at San Diego Comic-Con International 2026 will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase copies before the nationwide retail release.

The three-issue comic collection, created alongside Xaivia Inniss and adapted by scriptwriter Robert Jeffrey II, presents a dark, cinematic Western revenge narrative. The story centers on Cherie Lee, who seeks vengeance against the outlaw gang that murdered her sheriff father. The illustrations by Sean Damien Hill, with colors by Andrew Dalhouse, are designed to complement Shaboozey's country-infused musical style. This venture marks Shaboozey's premier appearance at the convention.

Shaboozey will participate in two events on the convention floor. On Friday evening, he will be at the Funko Village booth to sign advance copies of the first issue. Subsequently, he will headline a special panel and podcast recording of "Get Rec'd With Straw Hat Goofy," hosted by Juju Green. During this event, Shaboozey will discuss his creative expansion into comic books and unveil an exclusive trailer narrated by Jamie Foxx.

"The Outlaw Cherie Lee" issue one will be available early at the Funko booth on July 24, 2026. This comic release precedes his companion studio album, scheduled to drop on July 31, 2026. The comic series will receive a nationwide release on August 18, 2026.
