Search Engine Land Acquires Traffic Think Tank Community

Search Engine Land announced on July 6, 2026, that Traffic Think Tank has joined its community portfolio. This acquisition aims to expand opportunities for search marketers to connect, collaborate, and learn within one of the industry's established professional communities. Traffic Think Tank will maintain its operations as a private Slack community, offering a secure environment for members to share insights, test strategies, address challenges, and remain updated on search engine optimization (SEO), paid media, artificial intelligence (AI), and other related marketing disciplines.

As part of this new relationship, Search Engine Land will bolster the community's expansion by increasing its exposure through editorial and marketing channels. This support is intended to enhance visibility while preserving the collaborative atmosphere that Traffic Think Tank members value. Kyle Morley, Head of Sales and Marketing at Third Door Media, the parent company of Search Engine Land, stated that the acquisition is a natural progression for Search Engine Land, which has historically represented the marketing community through its contributor network. He expressed enthusiasm for the increased opportunities to engage with marketers.

David Broderick has been appointed as the Lead Community Manager, responsible for overseeing the daily experience within the community. He will be assisted by Liz Dougherty, who will actively contribute to fostering member engagement and guiding the community's ongoing development.
