Schneider Electric Upgrades EV Charger With NACS Support

Schneider Electric has upgraded its Charge Pro commercial Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charger, introducing native support for the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector. This enhancement allows the charger to directly connect with vehicles equipped with NACS ports, eliminating the need for adapters and simplifying the charging process for a wider range of EVs.

The updated Charge Pro also incorporates an app-free charging functionality. Users can initiate and manage charging sessions without requiring a dedicated mobile application. This feature aims to improve convenience and accessibility, particularly in public or shared charging environments where app downloads and account creation can be a barrier. The company stated that the setup process for the charger has also been made quicker and more efficient, reducing installation time and complexity for businesses and property managers.
