Saudi Arabia's air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone south of Mecca on Tuesday, preventing it from entering prohibited airspace over the holy city. The coalition spokesperson, Turki al-Malki, stated early on Wednesday that the security of Islam’s two holiest sites, Mecca and Medina, along with the safety of pilgrims, constitutes a "red line."
