Sarajevo’s CineLink Adds €10K Award, Partners With Cannes Critics’ Week

Sarajevo Film Festival's industry program, CineLink, has finalized the selections for its Co-Production Market and CineLink Drama sections. The Co-Production Market will feature 16 feature film projects, while the CineLink Drama section will showcase 8 drama series projects. Notably, nine of these projects have women in directing or co-directing roles, highlighting a focus on female creative leadership.
In addition to the project selections, CineLink has introduced a new €10,000 ($11,400) award to support emerging talent. This award aims to provide crucial financial backing for promising filmmakers and storytellers within the selected projects. The program also announced a significant new partnership with Cannes' Critics' Week, a parallel section of the Cannes Film Festival dedicated to discovering new cinematic voices. This collaboration is expected to offer enhanced visibility and networking opportunities for participating projects.
The Co-Production Market is designed to connect filmmakers with potential co-producers, financiers, and distributors, facilitating the development and financing of international film projects. The CineLink Drama section focuses on the growing market for high-quality television series, providing a platform for creators to present their concepts to industry professionals. The festival aims to foster a dynamic environment for film professionals to discover new talent and forge collaborations.
