Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Fold8, Flip8, and New Smartwatches

Samsung unveiled its latest foldable smartphone lineup at Galaxy Unpacked 2026, introducing the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8. The Fold8 is designed for immersive experiences, the Fold8 Ultra targets maximum productivity with an 8-inch display and a 200 MP camera system, and the Flip8 focuses on expressive, on-the-go interaction with an AI-native FlexWindow. All three devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform. Pre-orders are available now, with official sales commencing on August 7, 2026.

In addition to the foldables, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, enhancing its AI-driven health tracking capabilities. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is engineered for extreme outdoor use, featuring a titanium casing, an 800 mAh battery, and a 5,000-nit display. It includes specialized features like Trail Run mode and dive certification developed with Mares. The watch is designed for both adventure and daily wear due to its slimmer profile and lighter bands.

The Galaxy Watch9 is geared towards everyday wellness, boasting continuous activity and sleep tracking within a lightweight aluminum body. It is powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, includes a 390 mAh battery, and features a 3,000-nit display for enhanced visibility. Both new smartwatches aim to provide seamless health monitoring and user interaction, expanding Samsung's ecosystem of connected devices.
