Royal Mail boss’s pay package soars to £6.9m despite profits slide

Martin Seidenberg, chief executive of International Distribution Services (IDS), the parent company of Royal Mail, received a pay and bonus package totaling £6.9 million for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. This represents more than a threefold increase from the £2.1 million he earned in the previous year. The substantial increase in Seidenberg's compensation occurred despite a 20% decline in the group's profits during the same period. The £6.9 million figure includes his base salary, bonuses, and awards from long-term incentive schemes. IDS is the entity that oversees the UK postal service, Royal Mail.
