Jenrick Criticises Government Over Farage Security Meeting

Robert Jenrick has criticized the UK government for not offering Nigel Farage an earlier security meeting, stating that such discussions are only occurring now as a consequence of Ann Widdecombe's death. Jenrick, identified as Reform UK's Treasury spokesperson, asserted that ministers had previously opted not to provide Farage with the necessary security. He further claimed that the agreement to arrange a meeting with the chair of the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), the body overseeing the security of prominent individuals, was a direct result of Widdecombe's "appalling murder."
