Realme 16x Launches with Dimensity 6300, 144Hz Display, 7000mAh Battery

Realme officially launched its new 16x smartphone, integrating the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset as its core processing unit. This chipset is built on a 6nm process and features an octa-core CPU configuration, comprising two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores operating at 2.0GHz, alongside an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The device sports a 6.72-inch IPS LCD panel with a full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. A key highlight of the display is its adaptive refresh rate capability, which can dynamically adjust between 60Hz, 90Hz, and a maximum of 144Hz to provide a smoother visual experience while optimizing power consumption. The screen also boasts a peak brightness of 650 nits and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, contributing to responsive interactions.

Powering the Realme 16x is a substantial 7,000 mAh battery, positioning it as a device designed for extended usage between charges. The smartphone supports 33W wired fast charging, allowing users to replenish the large battery capacity more efficiently. For photography, the rear camera system includes a 108MP primary sensor, which is accompanied by a secondary 2MP sensor, likely for depth sensing or macro capabilities. The front-facing camera is an 8MP sensor, suitable for selfies and video calls. The device measures 165.6 x 76.1 x 9.05 mm and weighs 202 grams, indicating a relatively substantial build due to its large battery.

On the connectivity front, the Realme 16x supports dual SIM functionality, 5G network capabilities, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS. For biometric security, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button. The device runs on Realme UI 5.0, based on Android 14, providing the latest software features and optimizations. The Realme 16x is available in two storage configurations: 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, and 12GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at INR 14,999, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs INR 16,999. The smartphone is offered in two color options: Prism Black and Purple. This launch positions the Realme 16x as a competitive mid-range offering, emphasizing battery life, display performance, and camera resolution.
