Razer Clio X Wireless Speaker Head Cushion Launched

Razer unveiled the Razer Clio X, a new wireless speaker head cushion designed for gaming chairs, at PAX West 2026. This accessory is priced at $109.99 USD, positioning it as a more accessible option compared to the brand's previous premium model, the Razer Clio, which retailed for $230 USD. The Clio X aims to provide an immersive audio experience without the discomfort associated with wearing headphones for extended gaming sessions, a common issue known as headset fatigue. The device attaches to the headrest of any Razer gaming chair via an adjustable nylon strap, ensuring broad compatibility. To maintain its sleek design and power the audio components, the Clio X requires an external power source. Specifically, it needs to be plugged into a 15W USB-C power source. Razer recommends using a PD2.0 power source to ensure optimal power delivery, as non-PD sources may limit power draw and consequently cap the maximum volume output. For users seeking a completely wireless setup, Razer suggests using portable power banks with a minimum capacity of 10,000mAh. While the original Clio model featured 43mm aluminum cone drivers, the Clio X incorporates two 38mm near-field loudspeakers precisely angled towards the user's ears.
