Qantas CEO Touts Ultra Long Haul Flight Demand

Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson stated that the airline will have five Airbus A350 aircraft by November 2025, which will facilitate the launch of direct flights between Sydney and New York, shortly after the commencement of services between Sydney and London. Hudson made these remarks during an interview with Bloomberg's Anna Edwards and Guy Johnson in Toulouse. The introduction of these ultra-long-haul routes is expected to meet growing passenger demand for such services. The A350 aircraft are specifically configured for extended flights, offering enhanced passenger comfort and operational efficiency necessary for journeys exceeding 17 hours. Qantas has been investing in its long-haul fleet modernization to support its strategy of expanding global connectivity and offering premium travel experiences on its longest routes.
