Harry and Meghan Visit Diana's Childhood Home With Children

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the childhood home of the Duke of Sussex's late mother, Princess Diana, with their children Archie and Lilibet during a recent European vacation. Meghan shared photos on her Instagram account from the trip, including an image of their daughter Lilibet, 5, walking on the grounds of Princess Diana's family estate, Althorp. Prince Harry, 41, and their son Archie, 7, were pictured walking ahead of Lilibet, both carrying bouquets of flowers. Another photograph showed Meghan relaxing by the pool at the estate with the family's Beagle, Mamma Mia.

The Sussex family was reportedly invited to Althorp by Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, who currently owns and resides at the estate with his wife, Cat Jarman. According to People magazine, the family may have also visited Princess Diana's burial site, which is located on an island in the estate's Oval Lake. Charles Spencer had previously stated his intention to lay his sister to rest at her childhood home to ensure her grave could be properly cared for by her family and visited privately by her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Spencer had explained to the BBC that the decision was made due to concerns about the intense public emotion surrounding Diana's death, wanting to ensure a safe and private burial location. The visit to Althorp marks a significant personal moment for the family, connecting their children to their paternal grandmother's heritage and final resting place.
