Porsche Turned Buzz Lightyear Into a 911 GT3 RS for 'Toy Story 5' Premiere
Porsche unveiled three custom 911 models on June 9, 2024, to commemorate the premiere of "Toy Story 5" in Los Angeles. The "Buzz 3 RS," a 992.1-era 911 GT3 RS with the Weissach Package, features a color scheme mirroring Buzz Lightyear's suit, including white, green, and lizard green paint, along with custom "Lightyear"-branded tires. Its interior boasts a combination of Pebble Grey leather, Arctic Grey Race-Tex, and Violeta leather, accented by green stitching and illuminated door sill guards displaying "To Infinity and Beyond."
Jessie is represented by a 2026 911 Targa 4 GTS, distinguished by a pearl-overlay white paint finish and cowhide-pattern floor mats, reflecting her character's Western theme. Woody's tribute is a 2026 911 Carrera T, which sports a distressed denim-textured paint and vintage brown leather upholstery, evoking his iconic denim overalls and cowboy persona.
These unique 1:1 creations were developed by Porsche's Sonderwunsch ("Special Wishes") department. The initiative not only celebrates the "Toy Story 5" premiere but also supports national charitable organizations. Porsche has a history of engaging with popular culture, having previously collaborated with Capcom for "Resident Evil Requiem," where protagonist Leon Kennedy was featured with a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT.
