Philadelphia 'House of Horrors' Linked to Missing Women

Police in Philadelphia are investigating a dilapidated home in the Olney neighborhood, located at 400 West Chew Avenue, which has become central to multiple missing women cases. The property is linked to the late pornographer Raymond Charles "R.C." Horsch, who died last year at age 82 from an illness without facing charges. Investigators recently recovered a video recording that allegedly depicts Horsch strangling a woman to death inside the residence. A cousin of Nicole Fusaro, who vanished in 2018, informed WCAU-TV that investigators believe this footage shows Horsch strangling Fusaro. Earlier this summer, authorities revealed that additional evidence suggests two other women died within the house. Horsch had been under suspicion in connection with the disappearances of Fusaro and at least four other women who have been missing since 2012, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. The investigation into the residence was initiated following the June 19 arrest of Horsch's son, Eugene Horsch, who currently owns the home. Property records indicate that the home was transferred to Eugene's ownership in 2007 for a stated price of $40,114. The previous owner of the property was Raymond's aunt, Helen Hoersch, who passed away in the home in 2004 at the age of 83. Records reviewed by Realtor.com® show that Raymond Horsch signed the deed transferring ownership to his son, utilizing a power of attorney for his deceased aunt. The probe into the "House of Horrors" began after Eugene Horsch, 44, was stopped by a park ranger near Independence Mall for a suspected disturbance involving a female passenger. Philadelphia Police Inspector Raymond Evers detailed this incident during a press conference last month. The woman traveling with Eugene presented a fake identification card under the name Blair Tonzelli, which she allegedly received from Eugene. The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System database is being consulted in relation to these ongoing investigations. The nature of the "dark" videos found at the property has not been fully disclosed, but their discovery has intensified the focus on Horsch's former residence as a potential crime scene. The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are collaborating on the extensive investigation, which continues to uncover disturbing details about the activities that may have occurred at the West Chew Avenue address.
