Perrotin LA Opens 'Summerlove Sensation' Group Exhibition

Perrotin Los Angeles opened its 'Summerlove Sensation' group exhibition on July 18, 2026, showcasing works by 15 contemporary artists. The exhibition, which runs through August 28, 2026, delves into themes of youthful romance, lust, and longing, viewed through a Southern Californian perspective. The show utilizes a mix of paintings, sculptures, and interactive installations to create a sensory celebration of intimacy and desire.

Key highlights include Pilar Zeta's "Telepathic Kiss Portal" (2026), a functional sculpture designed to simulate intimacy as signal transmission using pink marble and stainless steel. Isabelle Albuquerque's "to be the wood, to be the water, to be with you" (2025) presents an interspecies floral sculpture that merges human and natural elements. Katherina Olschbaur's "Of the Muses" (2025) and Gregor Hildebrandt's "And Again, Rain Falls Gently On Flowers" (2024) reinterpret pin-up imagery with romantic painterly styles.

Jean-Michel Othoniel contributes "Cancer" (2024), a glass sculpture offering a suggestive astrological interpretation. The exhibition also features Aya Takano's Superflat-inspired mythic imagery and Honor Titus's "Zsa Zsa" (2026), a portrait that engages with Hollywood gossip.
