Denim Tears x Billionaire Boys Club Collaboration Previewed

Peezy, the Øway rapper, has previewed an upcoming collaboration between Denim Tears and Billionaire Boys Club in a new lookbook. This collaboration is part of Denim Tears' larger Fall/Winter 2026 collection, which is inspired by the legacy of André Leon Talley. The collection marks the first authorized apparel collaboration from the late fashion editor's estate. The preview features Peezy modeling pieces from the collection on the streets of New York City. Specifically, he is shown wearing a chunky, full-zip knit cardigan sweater that prominently displays Billionaire Boys Club branding across the chest. The sweater also incorporates Denim Tears' signature red, black, and green striping on the left upper arm, a nod to Pan-Africanism. Tremaine Emory, the founder of Denim Tears, stated that the Fall/Winter collection explores a specific aspect of André Leon Talley's style that held significant social implications within and beyond the fashion industry. Emory highlighted Talley's role as an early advocate for Black fashion designers, including brands like Phat Farm, Billionaire Boys Club, and Dapper Dan. Talley consistently supported these designers by attending their shows and wearing their clothing at a time when such recognition was rare in mainstream fashion circles. The collection aims to reflect this mix of diaspora clothing, Black designers, and traditional fashion that Talley effortlessly blended. Other notable pieces in the collection include a bandana-patterned down puffer jacket filled with PrimaLoft insulation, presented in a vibrant red hue and adorned with white Cotton Wreath insignias. The Cotton Wreath motif also appears on two new sweat sets, available in navy blue and pink, as well as on a sleek, all-black PrimaLoft-filled down vest. The full collection lookbook was released, and the collaboration is set to be available for purchase on Friday, September 4, at 11 AM EST. Items will be accessible online, in-store at African Diaspora Goods, and at the Atlanta residency located in Lenox Square.
