Paramount+ Moves Up 'Avatar Aang' Premiere to July 25

Paramount+ has officially accelerated the global premiere date for the animated feature film 'Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender' to July 25, 2026. This decision follows an unexpected online leak of the project earlier this year. The film is a direct continuation of the original animated series and marks a significant release from Avatar Studios, featuring an entirely new voice cast.

Eric Nam takes on the role of Aang, the young Avatar, while Dave Bautista voices Tagah, a newly introduced ancient airbender. The supporting cast includes Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Steven Yeun as Zuko, and Dionne Quan as Toph. The story centers on Aang's discovery of an ancient power that could save his culture from extinction, initiating a quest to secure it before it can be misused.

Accompanying the revised release schedule, Paramount unveiled an intense first trailer. The footage depicts Aang grappling with his status as the last airbender, despite his achievements as the Avatar. His emotional struggle takes a turn when he learns of Tagah, offering him hope for the revival of his culture. The film is set to stream exclusively on Paramount+.
