Oppo K15 Launches With Active Cooling and 8,000mAh Battery

Oppo officially launched the K15 smartphone this week, introducing a device with a notable focus on thermal management and extended battery life. The K15 is equipped with an integrated active-cooling fan, a feature typically found in gaming-centric devices, designed to maintain optimal performance during demanding tasks. This cooling system aims to prevent thermal throttling and ensure a consistent user experience.

Powering the Oppo K15 is a substantial 8,000mAh battery, which the company claims can provide extended usage times. This large capacity is a significant differentiator in the current smartphone market, catering to users who prioritize longevity and reduced charging frequency. The device also supports 67W fast charging, allowing users to replenish the large battery relatively quickly.

Beyond its cooling and battery capabilities, the Oppo K15 features a 6.72-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. For photography, the smartphone includes a triple rear camera setup with a 108MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is a 16MP sensor.

The Oppo K15 runs on Android 14 with Oppo's ColorOS 14 on top. It offers storage options of 12GB RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. The device also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner and is available in two color variants: Midnight Black and Aurora Blue.
