Olympian Eileen Gu’s $5 Million Family Home Is at Center of Bitter Neighborhood Feud Over ‘Trash Piles’ and ‘Sewage Problems’

Olympic skier Eileen Gu's family home in San Francisco has become the focal point of a decade-long neighborhood dispute, according to a report by The San Francisco Standard. The conflict involves multiple complaints lodged against Gu's family concerning issues such as sewage problems and accumulated garbage. Gu, who competes for China and won one gold and two silver medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics, spent her childhood in the Sea Cliff neighborhood mansion. Her mother purchased the four-bedroom property for $1.84 million in 2010, and the home is now valued at $5 million. The latest incident highlighted by the report occurred on June 8, when a large pile of trash and furniture, including shelves, a couch, a mattress, and boxes, was left on the sidewalk outside the residence. Despite an estimated net worth exceeding $23 million, Gu reportedly continues to reside at the family home when not traveling for her career.
