Nothing Launches Phone (4b) and Ear (3a) With New Features
Nothing unveiled two new products: the Phone (4b) and the Ear (3a). The Phone (4b) is the London-based brand's first smartphone in its new (b) series, featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor and a 6,000mAh battery, the largest ever in a Nothing smartphone. It also includes a 50MP OIS camera with Ultra XDR imaging, which composites 13 RAW frames for enhanced dynamic range, and a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED display capable of 2,000 nits peak brightness with HDR10+ support. The device incorporates a 4,400mm² vapour chamber for thermal management.
The Phone (4b) integrates the Glyph Bar design language with the unibody construction of the Phone (4a) Pro. Its design process involved over 20 internal iterations, resulting in a crystal-clear soft polymer camera module and an eco-polycarbonate unibody with a three-layer, fingerprint-resistant coating. The phone is rated to withstand up to 600 Newtons of bending force and has an IP64 certification for dust and water resistance. It will be available in Black, White, and Blue colorways.
The Ear (3a), the next generation of Nothing's (a) series earbuds, introduces 32 MB of onboard flash storage. This storage enables new features such as Audio Snapshot and direct call recording. The earbuds also feature a redesigned 12mm dynamic driver and LDAC certification for high-resolution audio at 24-bit/96kHz. Additionally, the Ear (3a) offers 45 dB Wideband Active Noise Cancellation. These launches aim to expand Nothing's product offerings with flagship-adjacent hardware at accessible price points.
