NOT A HOTEL AOSHIMA, a distinctive beachfront retreat nestled in the subtropical landscape of Miyazaki, Japan, has significantly expanded its luxury accommodation portfolio with the introduction of two new, architecturally striking villas: CHILL 2.0 and COAST. These additions represent a thoughtful evolution of the resort's unique concept, which blends high-end hospitality with an immersive connection to nature and lifestyle experiences. The design of both new villas, as well as the resort's original structures, has been masterfully handled by Shin Ohori of GENERAL DESIGN, ensuring a harmonious integration with Aoshima's lush, verdant surroundings and maintaining a consistent, sophisticated aesthetic.

The expansion extends beyond private accommodations to enrich the resort's communal offerings. Guests can now enjoy newly developed public spaces, including a dedicated skateboard park and expanded green park areas. CHILL 2.0, a third-level maisonette, serves as an elevated iteration of the resort's signature "house of the horizon" concept. Its two ocean-view bedrooms offer direct access to a shared terrace, allowing guests to fully embrace the coastal ambiance. The centerpiece of CHILL 2.0's outdoor sanctuary is an impressive 21-meter infinity pool, an enlargement from the original CHILL villa's design, which artfully merges with the ocean's edge, creating a stunning visual continuity.
