North Korea Rejects UN Nuclear Watchdog Resolution

North Korea has officially dismissed a resolution passed by the United Nations' nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) government stated that its nuclear weapons program is an irreversible reality and a crucial component of its national defense strategy. This dismissal comes as a direct response to the IAEA's resolution, which expressed concern over North Korea's nuclear activities and called for full compliance with its international obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

The DPRK's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement characterizing the IAEA resolution as a manifestation of "double standards" and a politically motivated act orchestrated by hostile forces. Pyongyang has consistently accused the IAEA and certain member states, particularly the United States and its allies, of selectively applying international norms and of hypocrisy regarding nuclear disarmament.
