Jackie Tohn Moved In With Jessica Biel After Dropping Out of College

Actress Jackie Tohn, 45, shared on the "Armchair Expert" podcast, hosted by Dax Shepard, that fellow actress Jessica Biel, 44, persuaded her to leave college and subsequently offered her a place to live. Tohn, who stars in the Netflix series "Nobody Wants This," explained that she met Biel as a teenager, and the two developed a close friendship. At 18, Tohn was attending the University of Delaware and expressed her desire to pursue an acting career in Hollywood to Biel.

Biel, who was 17 at the time, encouraged Tohn to drop out of college to chase her dreams. Tohn admitted she was not difficult to convince. However, after deciding to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting, Tohn faced the challenge of having no place to stay in California. Biel then offered Tohn a room in her family's home, where they were residing while Biel was filming the television show "7th Heaven."

Tohn recounted that Biel's family welcomed her into their Los Angeles residence. This arrangement provided Tohn with housing as she began her acting career. The revelation came during an episode of "Armchair Expert" where Tohn discussed her early career and personal life. She stars alongside Adam Brody and Kristen Bell in "Nobody Wants This," and Bell's husband, Dax Shepard, hosts the podcast.
