These comments come after The Guardian reported in April that Farage received a £5 million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne prior to the last general election. The revelation of this undisclosed sum has led to increased scrutiny of his financial arrangements and political funding.

Farage’s assertion frames the inquiries and public questioning as a deliberate effort to undermine his political standing and the Reform UK party. He characterized the scrutiny as an attempt to stop the party's momentum, suggesting a concerted effort against him and his political movement.
