US Mint Produces New $1 Coin Featuring Donald Trump

The U.S. Mint has started producing a new commemorative $1 coin featuring Donald Trump, as announced by the Treasury Department on Wednesday. This coin is part of the nation's 250th anniversary celebration and is scheduled for release this fall. It marks the first time a living president will appear on U.S. currency.

Treasury officials stated that the final design for the coin was approved earlier this year by the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts. Members of this commission were appointed by Donald Trump. However, the version revealed on Wednesday differs from the previously approved design. Notably, the coin will have a gold finish, rather than being made of solid gold.
