Na Hong-Jin to Receive Action Cinema Award as NYAFF Unveils North American Premiere of ‘Hope’ as Centerpiece (EXCLUSIVE)

The New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) announced it will present the North American premiere of Na Hong-Jin's "Hope" as the centerpiece of its 25th edition on July 20 at the SVA Theatre in New York. Na Hong-Jin will be in attendance for an introduction to the film, and he will also receive the Action Cinema Award. Neon is set to distribute "Hope" in North America starting September 9. The film festival will run from July 19 to August 4, showcasing over 80 films from 15 countries. This year's festival will feature a diverse selection, including the world premiere of "The Killer" by John Woo and the North American premiere of "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In." NYAFF will also present a retrospective on the career of Japanese director Takashi Miike, featuring 10 of his films, including "Audition" and "13 Assassins." The festival aims to highlight emerging talent and celebrate cinematic achievements from across Asia. Additional programming details and ticketing information will be released in the coming weeks.
