Mother finds body of missing son two days after Kenya's Ebola quarantine centre protests

Sylvester Muigai Ndung'u's body was discovered on Thursday, two days after his mother last saw him.

Ndung'u had traveled to Nanyuki on Tuesday to purchase a school uniform, according to his mother.

His disappearance coincided with protests at Kenya's Ebola quarantine center, which began on Tuesday. The protests were reportedly sparked by concerns over the handling of the Ebola outbreak and the conditions within the quarantine facility. Authorities have not yet confirmed if Ndung'u's death is connected to the protests or the ongoing health crisis.
