Metallica has officially announced a new series of 2027 North American stadium dates, extending the band's M72 World Tour. This new leg of the tour, promoted by Live Nation, is scheduled to commence on May 8, 2027, at BC Place in Vancouver. The tour will visit twelve new cities across various regions of North America, including the American Southwest and Midwest, before concluding on June 19, 2027, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. These newly announced stadium dates follow Metallica's "Life Burns Faster" residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, which is set to run from October 1, 2026, to March 13, 2027.

Throughout all twelve of the newly revealed North American stadium stops, Metallica will be joined by Limp Bizkit and Avatar as supporting acts. This continuation of the M72 World Tour emphasizes the band's commitment to engaging with fans across extensive geographical areas. As has been a practice on previous legs of the tour, a portion of the proceeds generated from every ticket sale will be directed towards supporting local charities. General sale for the newly announced M72 World Tour dates is slated to begin on Friday, September 25, 2026, commencing at 10 AM local time. Tickets will be available for purchase through Metallica's official website. Prior to the general sale, pre-sale opportunities will be available for Fan Club members starting on Monday, September 21, 2026. Additionally, exclusive presales will be offered to Citi cardmembers and Verizon Shine customers, providing early access to tickets for these select groups.
