Mercedes-Benz C-Class Gets EV-Inspired Facelift for 2027

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a significant refresh for its gas-powered 2027 C-Class sedan, incorporating design elements inspired by its electric vehicle lineup to create a more unified brand aesthetic. This update aims to bridge the visual gap between internal combustion engine (ICE) and battery-electric models during a period of market transition for the German automaker. The exterior receives a notable transformation, particularly at the front, with the introduction of an illuminated six-point grille that closely resembles the design seen on the GLC EV. A key enhancement for the 2027 C-Class is the return of physical, tactile controls to the steering wheel for essential functions, including adaptive cruise control. This move addresses user feedback and aims to improve the intuitiveness of driver interactions. Under the hood, the 2027 C-Class will be powered by a 255-horsepower turbocharged inline-four engine, which benefits from 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance. This powertrain configuration aims to balance performance with improved efficiency.
