AI Executive Insanity Series Tracks Outlandish AI Claims Daily

Brian Patrick has launched the "AI Executive Insanity Series," a daily social media project that documents outlandish claims made by prominent AI executives. The series, which began at the start of 2026, has already produced 181 installments and garnered tens of millions of views and thousands of comments. Patrick meticulously combs through social media, news articles, and YouTube videos to find these statements, which have included claims from Oracle founder Larry Ellison about body cameras recording users in bathrooms, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk advocating for human-AI mergers, and Friend CEO Avi Schiffmann comparing his relationship with AI wearables to a relationship with God.

Patrick's initiative is part of a larger effort to empower the public in shaping AI development. Through his self-founded organization, Panodime, he is developing a website and an app, slated for release within the next several weeks. These platforms are intended to educate individuals about advancements in AI technology and connect them with opportunities for collective action. Patrick's core belief is that the public should have the agency to halt, pause, or guide AI development through a democratic process, rather than allowing a small group of individuals to control its trajectory.

Patrick expressed his concern that AI has reached a critical juncture where it risks irreversible negative consequences if proactive measures are not taken. He highlights the concentration of power within a small, unaccountable group of individuals, primarily located in Silicon Valley, as a significant driver of this risk. The "AI Executive Insanity Series" serves as a daily reminder of the need for public engagement and oversight in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence, aiming to bring attention to the choices surrounding AI's future.
