Massive Joy Division Boxed Set of Concert Recordings Due in September

A comprehensive boxed set of live recordings from the post-punk band Joy Division is scheduled for release in September. Titled "Joy Division: Live," the collection will feature 10 LPs and 7 CDs, encompassing 93 tracks, with 64 of them previously unreleased. The set includes recordings from 14 concerts performed between 1977 and 1980, spanning the band's entire career. Among the included performances are sets from The Factory in Manchester, London's The Venue, and the legendary final concert at Birmingham's Locarno Ballroom on January 18, 1980. The release also contains a 48-page booklet with concert photos and memorabilia, as well as a replica of the original flyer for their first gig at Pips Disco in Manchester on March 11, 1978. The band's career was cut short by the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis in May 1980, less than a year after the release of their debut album "Unknown Pleasures" in June 1979. This extensive collection aims to provide fans with an unparalleled auditory journey through Joy Division's influential live performances.
