Marshall’s Stockwell speaker gets a replaceable battery that runs twice as long
Marshall announced the Stockwell III Bluetooth speaker on May 21, 2024, emphasizing repairability and an extended battery life. This marks the first update to the Stockwell model since early 2019, retaining the signature design with a carrying handle and 360-degree sound output. The new model features a user-replaceable battery, a significant departure from previous iterations where battery replacement was not officially supported. Marshall claims the new battery offers up to 40 hours of playtime on a single charge, doubling the 20-hour duration of the Stockwell II. The speaker also incorporates Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity for improved wireless performance and supports multi-speaker pairing with up to 20 other Marshall speakers. The Stockwell III is constructed with 70% recycled materials, including plastics and aluminum, aligning with sustainability efforts. The speaker's dimensions are 260 x 170 x 90 mm, and it weighs 1.35 kg. It is available for purchase at $279.
