Man Dies After Cross-Border Police Chase in NSW

New South Wales police have declared a critical incident after a 25-year-old man died following a police pursuit in the northern rivers area. The incident occurred hours after the same man allegedly evaded Queensland police while armed with a gun. The pursuit began late on Saturday in Queensland following a report of an armed man on the Gold Coast. The vehicle, driven by the 25-year-old Queensland resident, drove down an embankment south of Murwillumbah in NSW. He was found unconscious at the wheel of the vehicle around 2am on Sunday, according to NSW police.
