London’s Split Watches Enters the US. Market With the New Split GMT

Split Watches, a London-based watchmaker founded by third-generation watchmaker Ed Margulies and musician Dara Amjadi, has launched in the US market with its new Split GMT timepiece. The brand differentiates itself by prioritizing authenticity, cultural storytelling, and mental well-being over traditional status symbols. Split Watches donates one hour of therapy for young people through its partnership with MusiCares for every watch sold. The Split GMT features a 40mm case and a Miyota 9075 "true GMT" automatic movement, allowing for independent local-hour adjustments. This mechanical feature is typically found in more expensive watches. The timepiece is available in four colorways: beige, blue, black, and green, with each color inspired by specific cultural and musical geographies shared between the US and UK, including locations like the Hudson River and the Mississippi Delta. The Split GMT is priced starting at $980 USD, reflecting the brand's aim to be accessible.
